About PCSC
The Pierce County Skills Center opened Wednesday, September 8, 2010, bringing along with it career options for students, leading to real jobs that mesh with workplace demands.
PCSC opened offering eight CTE programs. In 2012, Phase 2A of the Olympic building was opened offering two more programs. In 2013, Phase 2B opened with two additional programs along with two offsite programs. In 2015, the Evergreen building opened adding two more programs, an office space (previously the main office was in a portable) and a cafe. In 2024, the Evergreen building opened and PCSC added three additional programs. PCSC now offers 17 preparatory CTE programs to students in Pierce County with a capacity of 900.
The Pierce County Skills Center currently serves juniors and seniors from our 10 school districts: Bethel, Eatonville, Fife, Franklin Pierce, Orting, Steilacoom, Sumner, Tacoma, University Place and White River.
