Construction Trades

Dates: Year long program
Credit: 4.5 per year (1.5 per trimester)
Prerequisites: None - High school construction class recommended
Program Description: The Construction Trades program is a State of Washington approved pre-apprenticeship program designed to teach entry-level construction skills and knowledge. This course covers both residential and commercial construction with an emphasis on job site safety. The goals of this course are to prepare students for direct entry into an apprenticeship by meeting rigorous academic and industry standards. A $50 materials/fee is charged for this program.
This course is a State of Washington approved Pre-Apprenticeship Program.

High School Credit Equivalency: 1.5 Technical Math/3rd Year Math, 3.0 CTE

College Credit (Subject to change):
Students who successfully meet course competencies and earn a grade of C or better may be eligible for the following college credits:
Clover Park Technical College - up to 25 credits
Bates - up to 3 credits
Certifications: Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate, First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10, Forklift
